Antonio Rocha’s free community workshop, “Beyond the Voice: The Art of Mime in Storytelling” takes place at Cook Memorial Library on Wednesday, November 15 at 7pm. Adults and children are encouraged to attend. Participants will explore creativity through the use of body language and mime techniques. Rocha guides us through ways to create atmosphere, develop character, and craft seamless transitions in our stories during this participatory session filled with movement and fun.
Storyteller Simon Brooks says, “Watching Antonio perform draws you in deeply with movements akin to water being poured into different shapes invisibly waiting to be filled. It is the best kind of magic.”
This workshop is presented by Arts Tamworth and is free and open to the public.
