The Tamworth Community Nurse Association (TCNA) and Cook Memorial Library will co-host a program on hearing and hearing aids at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 2, at the library. The program is free of charge and open to all.
The program, entitled “Practical Wisdom About Hearing,” will be presented by Rebecca Turlo from the Hearing Aid Shop, located in North Conway and Wolfeboro. She will speak on the importance of hearing well for communication and will explain various technologies utilized for hearing aids and how to choose hearing aids that best fit your lifestyle.
Turlo will set up devices to touch, feel and see and will provide live demos of hearing techniques for people to try. She will also provide folders with a wide variety information for everyone. Anyone who is either considering hearing aids for themselves, or who is a caregiver of someone who may benefit from hearing aids of some sort, is encouraged to attend.
Refreshments, including coffee, tea and light snacks, will be available from 10:30 to 11 am, when the presentation will begin. For further information about the monthly Practical Wisdom program, call the library at 323-8510.
