Beth Dyson, White Mountain Community Health Center’s Health Insurance navigator will be at the Cook Library for one-on-one assistance during open enrollment time for the Health Insurance Marketplace. If you have not yet enrolled for health insurance and feel like you need some help with the process, Beth will be there to help you.
Assistance will be available on a drop in, first-come first-serve basis. You should bring your login information for Healthcare.gov. If you don’t have a Healthcare.gov login, setting one up ahead of time is recommended. You can get help setting up a Healthcare.gov online account at the library on Tech Tuesdays (1-2 pm), or call 323-8510 to set up a tech help session with a librarian. (Note that this is only help to set up an online account, no healthcare assistance will be offered by library staff.) Beth encourages people to bring a list of the doctors, medical facilities and prescriptions that they use so she can make sure the plan they choose covers those. People should be prepared to update their income for 2018 which will impact the tax credits.
